The winter season hasn’t even fully taken off yet and we’re already looking forward to Summer 2006… With filming on X3 underway, veteran movie and TV actor/director Bill Duke has been speaking about his experiences on the action blockbuster.

Although Duke isn’t exactly forthcoming with details about his own role, he is keen to set the fanboys’ minds at rest over the choice of director Brett Ratner, and what he is doing with their beloved series. “I think you’re going to find a lot of levels to this movie,” he says. “Brett brings a certain amount of detail, and he’s really committed to telling a story. Also, he takes a great deal of time with the actors and their performances.”

In more exciting news, Duke has also let slip details of Kelsey Grammer’s role as the super-intelligent, friendly monster Beast. “He’s wonderful. He has to wear this costume that weighs at least 15 to 20 pounds”, says Duke. “So I don’t think you’re going to see any Frasier up there!”
