The Green Hornet looks like it just got 73% cooler as word arrives that Inglourious Basterds’ Christoph Waltz has been cast as the film’s villain. Gossip hound Nikki Finke is reporting – and Variety has now confirmed – that Christoph Waltz will play Chudnofsky, the main bad guy.

Apparently his big evil plan to is unite all the various gangs together into a sort of supermafia. He’s replacing Nic Cage, who had been in discussions for the part, but dropped out before he signed a contract.
