Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones film finds studio

20th Century Fox like the sound of Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones documentary and, to be honest, so do we.

The project began in October, following Mick and his mates as they performed at New York’s Beacon Theatre for a crowd that included several celebs and an ex-president (Clinton), during their A Bigger Bang tour.

Marty is currently editing the reels and reels of footage he’s accrued, splicing it with historical and current behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, with only a team of editors to help him.

Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos said in a statement: “Many years ago, in film class in college, I watched Robert De Niro saunter into a bar to the tune of Jumping Jack Flash in a movie called Mean Streets made by some guy named Martin Scorsese. It blew me away, and both Marty and the Stones have done that to me for decades since.”

Us too, Jim. Us too. Marty’s doc will be unleashed on the public at the end of 2007.
